| Helen I. Helle, 73, of Mint Hill, NC, formerly of Chippewa Township, passed peacefully on June 8, 2012, while under the compassionate care of Hospice of Union County. Helen was born August 29, 1938 in Rural Valley, PA, daughter of the late Carl and Mabel (Little) Rankin. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. Helen was a talented seamstress who enjoyed numerous relationships she made through her passion. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Robert D. Helle; her son: Robert L. Helle; and her sister: Dorothy Gallagher. She is survived by her daughter-in-law ... two daughters ... five grandchildren ... two great grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother-in-law: Isabel (Ray) Orr, Jeanette, PA; and Thelma Daugherty, Ellwood City, PA. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
