| Mrs. Mabel A. Rankin, 82, of 225 Third St., Ellwood City, died at 10 p.m. Dec. 28, 1989, at her residence ... A native of Rayne Township, Indiana County, Pa., she was born Oct. 30, 1907, to William and Nannie J. Shields Little. She married Carl Rankin and he died June 28, 1973 ... Survivors include four daughters ... her stepmother, Mrs. Mary Little of Indiana, Pa.; a sister, Edna Shearer of New Brighton; two half-sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Dolores) Wells of Dayton, Pa. and Mrs. John (Emelee) Nickerson in Oregon; eight grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hapsie Lambing; and three brothers, Floyd, Arthur and George Little. ... Interment will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Armstrong County, Pa.  |
